Do you remember Cordia Sebestena or Scarlet Cordia flowers were posted in The Arts & Me a few months ago here? Found this reddish orange neon coloured flowers at Aditi Gardens, Magarpatta, Pune.

Cordia Sebestena Some facts
Cordia Sebestena is native to the northern coast of South America. This plant grows in the tropical and subtropical regions.
Scarlet Cordia is a small tree that bears clusters of tubular bright reddish orange flowers of medium size.
Its large oval shaped leaves are dark green in colour when mature. Leaves are rough and hairy that feel like sandpaper.
Small pear shaped fruits are edible. Wow! I have to taste it sometimes 🙂 I don’t know if I would have to taste them at the cost of scoldings from the security guards 😛 Some bachpana is to be enjoyed at the least now 😉
