Handicrafts at Khadi Utsav 2017

We had been to the Khadi Utsav 2017 last Sunday. The Kadi Utsav is open to public since 24th April till 23rd May at Freedom Park, Gandhi Nagar, Bengaluru. It is the 60th national level traditional handloom textiles exhibition. The exhibition is organised by Karnataka Khadi and Village Industries Board.

If you are at Bengaluru, Khadi Utsav is one of the best shopping getaway for this weekend. I fell in love with the richness of Indian traditional textiles exhibited in Khadi Utsav 2017. Apart from textiles, traditional handicrafts are also exhibited in the Khadi Utsav. There are many handicrafts stalls. But, I could get pictures of a couple of stalls only. We couldn’t click finer pictures as our little one was exhausted. These pictures are taken by my husband.

These beautiful famous Chennapatna handicraft wooden toys are seen at Khadi Utsav 2017. The toys are known for the eco-friendly dyes put on them.

Do you reside at Bengaluru? Have you been to Khadi Utsav 2017? Please spread the message to all the Bengalurians you know, so that these traditional crafts makers are benefited. Lets support cottage industries and tradtional arts. Thank you!
